STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor recently told Artisan News that he would like to see the band’s new conceptual record be adapted as a movie as well. He said, “Once we’ve toured and we’ve got the music out to everyone, the thing I really wanna do is have two movies — Part 1 and Part 2. With the comic and the story and the music, I think we’ll be able to do it. I already know who I wanna talk to about doing it, so we’ll see what happens.”

Taylor did not say who he would like to direct the movie, or if it would be produced through Living, Breathing Films, the production company he and SLIPKNOT percussionist Clown launched earlier this year.

He told The Pulse Of Radio at the time why he and Clown decided to get into the movie business. “It’s something that we’re very passionate about, you know,” he said. “We have the same passion for film as we do for music and it’s really just our way of kind of, you know, learning the business and once we learn a little more, you know, we get a few projects under our belt and we’re gonna start accepting scripts and developing our own scripts, and I think it’s gonna be something that’s really cool.”

The comic book version of “House Of Gold & Bones” will debut on April 17, 2013. The four-issue series will be published by Dark Horse Comics and will visualize the sci-fi short story that forms the basis of the albums.
