“Grind As Fuck!”
I have always admired Switzerland for the amazing bands that pop out to impress the worldwide metal scene, each band with its own different way. Have in mind Celtic Frost, Coroner or even newer bands having a more experimental touch such as Knut, Nostromo and Shora.
As for Mumakil, having previously released a demo and one full length, this is their debut album with the great Relapse Records, a label dedicated to the extreme, as much extreme as this devastating storm divided in 27 small but deadly songs/killer shards.
What we have here is by no doubt excellently composed deathgrind in the likes of Nasum and Rotten Sound. The tempo is set to max but there are some groovy parts as well. The rhythm never runs out of precision and the vocalist spits out only brutality! This is a must for grindcore and death metal fans but not only if you like your music to be fast, brutal and to the edge. The production is slightly better than “Customized Warfare” and the album’s small length will keep you completely focused till you hit replay to get grinded again!
