Orlando, Florida-based hard rockers ALTER BRIDGE will release their fifth album, “The Last Hero” on October 7 via Napalm Records in all territories excluding North America. The CD was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, who helmed the band’s previous three albums, “Blackbird” (2007), “AB III” (2010) and “Fortress” (2013).

The first single from “The Last Hero”, a song called “Show Me A Leader”, was premiered this morning on SiriusXM‘s Octane and can now be streamed at SiriusXM.com. The track will be released digitally on Tuesday, July 26.

‘Show Me A Leader’ is a reflection of how polarized and fractured things are in our society,” ALTER BRIDGE singer Myles Kennedy said. “This song doesn’t push an agenda; it simply expresses a very common sense of disillusionment people seem to be feeling at this point in time.”

ALTER BRIDGE will return to Europe this fall. Their biggest headline shows yet, the 24-date tour treks 15 countries and kicks off on November 4. Special guests include Danish rockers VOLBEAT, who released their sixth album, “Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie”, last month. French progressive metallers GOJIRA and up-and-comers LIKE A STORM..

ALTER BRIDGE‘s last album, “Fortress”, featured the Active Rock Top 15 single “Addicted To Pain”.

When ALTER BRIDGE is on hiatus, Kennedy can be found fronting Slash‘s band, SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS.

Tremonti released the third effort from his band TREMONTI, titled “Dust”, on April 29.
