New PIG DESTROYER Song Featured On Adult Swim Singles Compilation

After releasing nine albums and 130 free tracks to music fans over the last five years, Adult Swim and Williams Street Records continues the 2013 Adult Swim Singles Program with "The Octagonal Stairway" by Washington D.C.-based grindcore masters PIG DESTROYER. The song is available as a free download or streaming here. In other news, PIG DESTROYER guitarist Scott Hull is this month's featured guest on the brand new Decibel magazine podcast. The band's fifth-full length and first album in over five years, "Book Burner", sold more than 4,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 102 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at position No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

MISERY INDEX To Release ‘The Killing Gods’ In May

American death metal extremists MISERY INDEX have set "The Killing Gods" as the title of their forthcoming full-length album. The band's fifth studio CD will arrive on May 23 via Season Of Mist. "The Killing Gods" was recorded at Wright Way Studios in Baltimore, Maryland and was engineered by Steve Carr (DYING FETUS, SLIPKNOT, SOILWORK). The drum parts were tracked with Scott Hull (PIG DESTROYER, AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED, BLACK TUSK, BRUTAL TRUTH) at Visceral Sound in Bethesda, Maryland. Comments MISERY INDEX bassist/vocalist Jason Netherton: "After an extended writing and recording process we have finally completed 'The Killing Gods'. It is the longest, most diverse and most complete album we have ever created, and it represents the blood, sweat and beers of four dudes trying to make the best songs they can.
