Desertfest is one of the most anticipated festivals of the early Autumn. While many bands were announced and the tickets were quickly sold, surprises keep coming up. Official announcement follows below:

“The Desertfest Athens 2017 announcements continue! Right after the confirmation of the first six bands (Graveyard, Color Haze, Orange Goblin, Sadhus, Allochiria, Puta Volcano), two extraordinary names are added to the line-up: the legendary Saint Vitus and Radio Moscow.

The name Saint Vitus is synonymous with doom metal, as they are among the bands that created the genre with their recordings in the SST record label in the 1980s. Extremely influential, they remain a reference point for metal sound and have performed, in the past, at the major doom metal festivals.

With their famous debut (produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys) released in 2007, psychedelic blues rockers Radio Moscow were completely beloved by all the blues-rock fans out there. Ten years later, Parker Griggs’s prominent trio remains one of the hardest working bands in the world, with growing discography and worldwide tours.

Soon, even more bands of the Desertfest Athens 2017 line-up will be announced.

There are currently no more early-bird tickets for the festival and the two-days tickets are available at the price of 50 euros.”
