EPICA Announces Special Album-Release Show

Dutch symphonic metallers EPICA will return to the stage on April 30, 2014 for an album-release show at 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. After taking a break from the road due the pregnancy of lead singer Simone Simons, the release of a new concert DVD, "Retrospect", as well as the writing and recording of the band's upcoming CD, the sextet will put on a memorable show, with plans to perform both old and new songs. EPICA is currently finishing up the pre-production of the follow-up to "Requiem For The Indifferent", with plans to enter the studio in October with producer Joost Van Den Broek (the former AFTER FOREVER and AYREON keyboard player who has previously worked with REVAMP and STREAM OF PASSION). To make the album-release show even more special, EPICA's fans will not only be able to purchase regular tickets, but there will be two exclusive bundles available for this event. The first bundle contains a signed version of the upcoming album and the second, larger bundle will consist of a goodie bag, containing a signed copy of the upcoming album, an exclusive T-shirt, flag, lanyard, VIP laminate and a limited-edition poster. Tickets and bundle for this show will go on sale Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:00 CET through Ticketmaster.nl. There will be special "early-bird" tickets available at reduced price. This offer is valid until September 28, 2013. EPICA celebrated its 10th anniversary with a one-night-only event, dubbed "Retrospect", on March 23 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The band was accompanied by the seventy-piece Reményi Ede Chamber Orchestra and the Miskolc National Theatre Choir, playing an unforgettable three-hour best-of set.

METALLICA’s Surprise ‘Kill ‘Em All’ Performance: Official Footage Of Rehearsal, Show

METALLICA surprised fans at Orion Music + More on June 8 by playing its 1983 debut disc "Kill 'Em All" from beginning to end on a smaller stage at the event. METALLICA was officially announced to play a headlining set on June 9 to close out the festival, but hit the stage at 4:30 p.m. one day earlier for a 10-song set that started with "Hit The Lights" and finished out with "Metal Militia". The afternoon slot was officially taken by an "act" called DEHAAN — which METALLICA fans may have recognized as the name of actor Dane DeHaan, who is starring in the band's upcoming 3D movie, "Metallica Through The Never". Another hint was dropped when METALLICAfrontman James Hetfield posted a message on Instagram which read, "Don't miss Dehaan! #MUYA #mff #UwillRegretMissingThem #IfUdoUmightKillEmAll #winkWink #getIt?" Hetfield came onstage first to introduce "DEHAAN," after which the rest of the members of METALLICA came out and began playing. Official Metallica TV footage of the pre-show rehearsal in the "tuning room", as well as the actual DEHAAN performance, can be seen below. Featured songs:

DANZIG To Play Special Intimate Club Show In London

As a "thank you" to all its London fans on DANZIG's 25th-anniversary tour, the band will play a special club show at the Garage on Monday, June 17 for the measly sum of £6.66. Says DANZIG leader and namesake Glenn Danzig: "While over the years DANZIG has occasionally played a smaller club show for the fans in L.A. and other cities in the U.S. at an extremely low ticket price, I've never done one here in the U.K. Lucky U.K. fans will get to see DANZIG in a more personal setting and most assuredly have an incredible night to remember." If you bought a ticket to the Roundhouse show, watch your e-mail tomorrow at 11 a.m. You guys will have the first chance to get a ticket.
