IRON MAIDEN's August 3 show at London, England's O2 Arena sold out in just 12 minutes, so a second show has been added on Sunday, August 4. This will definitely be the band's last U.K. show this year as soon after they head off for a few selected USA shows before a massive trip around Latin America, including headlining Rock In Rio and national stadiums in Mexico, Chile and Argentina. Tickets for this second show are available to buy now from TheO2.co.uk,AXS.com and LiveNation.co.uk and, like the first show, all ticketing will be paperless to protect MAIDEN fans as much as possible from touting and inflated pricing on the secondary ticketing market. Comments MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson: "We've all been having such a fantastic time on this tour. From the very first show in North America last year to the European dates we are doing now, it's just been tremendous fun. Our fans have been brilliant as usual, and seem to be loving the setlist and the stage production! So we thought that because this tour has been such an amazing experience for band and fans alike, it somehow seems right to finish up back home in England and have the final show celebration on home turf. And now instead of one night's celebration back home, we get to have two!!"

MOTÖRHEAD’s LEMMY Is ‘Alive, Breathing, Talking, F**king, Drinking, Eating, Reading’

MOTÖRHEAD was forced to cancel two European concerts earlier this week after the band's frontman Lemmy Kilmister suffered a haematoma (where blood collects outside of a blood vessel). The news of Lemmy's latest medical issue followed reports that he was also recently fitted with a defibrillator because of heart problems. A new message posted on Lemmy's official Facebook page reads as follows: "We are happy to announce that despite rumors to the contrary,Lemmy is alive, breathing, talking, fucking, drinking, eating, reading and will be back to playing shows shortly. "As reported, he did undergo a Motor-pit-stop for some medical maintenance this past spring, and the timing of his recent illness was unfortunate in that it came so soon after that.

PHILIP ANSELMO On His Forthcoming Autobiography: ‘The Hardest Person I’m Gonna Be On Is Myself’

Philip Anselmo (DOWN, PANTERA, ARSON ANTHEM, SUPERJOINT RITUAL) and BloodyDisgusting.com writer Corey Mitchell last year secured a deal with Jeremie Ruby-Strauss, senior editor at Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books imprint, for Anselmo's autobiography, which will tentatively be titled "Mouth For War: Pantera, Pain, & Pride - Heavy Metal Highs, Drugged Out Lows, & The Battle For My Life".Corey will co-author the book, which is described as "a no-holds-barred look inside of Philip's brain, his history with PANTERA, the loss of his best-friend, Dimebag Darrell, and an unflinching examination into the downward spiral of pain and drug addiction that nearly cost him his life." A 2014 release is expected. Speaking to Artisan News on the black carpet of the Revolver Golden Gods awards in Los Angeles on May 2 (see video below), Anselmo stated about his upcoming autobiography: "First and foremost, it's not just aPANTERA book. Now, PANTERA is a gigantic part of my life — let's not ever, ever mix these signals — but it's more a book about myself and how it took to get from all of the peaks, valleys and the in-betweens; that really, really sums things up. There is my persective, of course, but I think the hardest person I'm gonna be on is myself. Because we all get the cards that we're dealt, and it's up to us to deal with that how we deal with it."

DAVE MUSTAINE: ‘It Feels Good To Be Me Right Now’

Jesse Capps of RockConfidential.com recently conducted an interview with MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below. RockConfidential.com: With the release of "Super Collider" and being on a new record label, it seems you're really anxious or even hungrier to beDave Mustaine and be in MEGADETH. Mustaine: It feels good to be me right now. I still have moments where it's kinda hard to get outta bed. [laughs] I enjoy my life. I'm going through a renaissance period right now with the band and it just feels like a second childhood. Especially with the record charting as high as it did. Metal is on the rise. I'm really excited about the times we're living in. Unfortunately, metal music is popular when the world is kind of topsy-turvy, but hey — the world has been in kind of a fuck for a couple thousand years.

JEFF HANNEMAN Was Working On New Music Before He Died, Says TOM ARAYA

On May 2, the sudden news took the metal community by storm: SLAYERguitarist Jeff Hanneman had died. In the August 2013 issue of Guitar World magazine, the band's bassist/vocalist Tom Araya recalls his final communications with his longtime friend and bandmate: "I had been texting with him, and he even sent me a song that he had been working on. So it seemed like he was doing okay. But when I got the call that he was back in intensive care, I became concerned. Eventually he stopped responding to my texts. It was like a one-sided conversation. "I was home with my family when I found out he had died. The phone rang and my wife answered it, and she had this look of dread on her face. She handed me the phone and didn't say anything, and it was our manager,Rick [Sales], and he told me. I hung up the phone and went to my room and I cried. "It hit my family hard, because they really liked Jeff. My mother was really upset, my sisters loved Jeff, and my brother too — he was Jeff's tech for a long time."

NIGHTRAGE Singer Quits

Singer Antony Hämäläinen (pictured below) has officially left mutinational melodic death metallers NIGHTRAGE. He says: "There is no drama or bad blood. Quite the opposite actually as we all remain great friends. I personally would just like to explore other musical ventures. It's as simple as that." He adds: "I want to thank [NIGHTRAGE founder] Marios Iliopoulos for giving me a chance to play in his band, and write two amazing albums with him. He is one of the most underrated guitar players in the world, and I am sure he will create more amazing music in the years to come. "In other news, [drummer] Johan Nunez and I, have finished recording a new album of total melodic death metal with several of our best friends on board. This is a project we have been working on for a few years now and we can't wait to share it with you. There will be more news on that in the weeks to come so stay tuned!"
