GUNS N’ ROSES ‘Not in This Lifetime’ tour enjoyed a massive run across stadiums in the U.S. over the summer and it appears the band may be returning for another stateside trek in 2017. A commercial, which has aired in the U.S., promises “the machine is back at it in 2017,” accompanied by various clips of the band’s thrilling performances on the aforementioned trek.

With 2017 dates already booked in Japan in January, Australia and New Zealand in February and more elsewhere around the world, there looks to be no end in sight to the vaunted tour that famously features both Slash and Duff McKagan reunited with frontman Axl Rose once again.

“I’ve been told there’s no end date and I’ve seen plenty of dates going into next year, far into next year,” Opie (tour manager) told WXIA toward the end of July. “Everybody’s working together to keep a common goal and common direction: keep the machine going,” he continued.

Over the summer, GUNS N’ ROSES sold over one million tickets on their U.S. run, netting a staggering $117 million in ticket sales. The tour included a total of 25 performances at 21 different venues with 95 percent of available tickets sold. Their two consecutive nights at MetLife Stadium in N.J. reached $11.7 million in ticket sales alone, good enough for 10 percent of the tour’s share.

Next year will also mark the 30th anniversary of GUNS N’ ROSES widely influential debut, Appetite for Destruction. Over the last decade, numerous acts have performed some of their most esteemed albums in their entirety, but no rumors have been kicking up regarding GN’R following suit.
