ROB ZOMBIE To Release First-Ever Concert DVD

ROB ZOMBIE guitarist John 5 (real name: John William Lowery) has toldAbsolutePunk.net that the band will capture its current live show for an upcoming concert DVD. Said John: "This is big news. I haven't talked about this. 30 years, ROB ZOMBIE, WHITE ZOMBIE — never done a live DVD. We're doing one this year. The show's so big. It can't get much bigger, so I'm like, 'We better record this!'" Rob Zombie's fifth album, "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor", sold 34,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 7 on The Billboard 200 chart. The record arrived in stores on April 23 via Zodiac Swan/T-Boy/Ume. The CD was produced by Bob Marlette, who has previously worked with everyone from BLACK SABBATH and ALICE COOPER to WILSON PHILLIPS and LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Zombie told Artist Direct in an interview that "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor" could one day make it to the big screen as aZombie-directed film. The rocker and filmmaker explained, "I think it could. I made it with that in mind. ROB ZOMBIE To Guest On ‘Counting Cars’

As the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival kick-off date for San Bernardino, California was ramping up and the fans were lining up, main-stage closing artist Rob Zombie was doing a bit of heavy metal double tasking — filming behind-the-scenes for History channel's "Counting Cars". The episode, in which the Count's Kustoms crew delivers a custom macabre-style overhaul on Rob's 1967 Ford F-100, will air on Tuesday, July 16 at 9 p.m. Eastern/8 p.m. Central Time. Although the crew at Las Vegas-based Count's Kustoms are not new to the game, the finished product was no small feat.
