We already knew that The Black Dahlia Murder were hard at work on a new album, and we already knew that that album would probably be out this year. Now there’s another thing we know: the general vicinity of when that album will be available.

From an official press release:

“The Black Dahlia Murder will release their new untitled album in fall 2017 via Metal Blade Records. Guitars, bass, and drums were tracked with former The Black Dahlia Murder bassist Ryan Williams (facebook.com/Augmented.Audio), while vocals were tracked with Joe Cincotta (http://fullforcestudio.com); Jacob Hansen (Aborted, Volbeat, etc.) is currently mixing and mastering the record at Hansen Studios in Demark.”

Autumn officially begins this year on Friday, September 22, and ends on Thursday, December 21. So there’s your three-month window of potential release dates. Anyone wanna get a pool going? I’m gonna go with Friday, October 13, because it’s, y’know, Friday the 13th.

While we wait for slightly more specific release details, don’t forget that The Black Dahlia Murder are on this year’s Summer Slaughter tour, where they’ll be celebrating the tenth anniversary of their album Nocturnal by performing it in its entirety. Other bands on the bill include Dying Fetus, The Faceless, and Origin. Get dates here.
